EOC/Trio

 

 Purpose

The purpose of the Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) is to identify eligible participants and assist them in continuing their education at either the high school or college level.


Eligibility Requirements

EOCs are designed to serve any individuals who are interested in pursing education after high school. Participants must express a desire to enroll, or be enrolled, in a program of postsecondary education and request information or assistance in applying for admissions to, or financial aid for, such a program. Participants must be 19 or older if an Educational Talent Search Project is present, otherwise all ages are eligible and welcome.

Individual assistance in pursing education after high school, a GED, and/or high school or college re-entry.

Services Provided

The Educational Opportunity Center assists income-eligible and/or first generation college students throughout Wyoming in beginning or continuing their education by providing assistance with:

  • Choice of college
  • Admissions
  • Financial Aid-FAFSA & Scholarships
  • College transfers
  • Community agency refeerals
  • Career Assessment
  • Starting a GED
  • Fee waiver assistance w/GED, ACT & other selected academic/entrance requirements for income-eligible particpants
