Catching Up with Carol Bourland

Carol BourlandCarol Bourland wears many hats.  Carol is Uinta B.O.C.E.S. #1 Education    Center’s Higher Education Coordinator, an instructor for both B.O.O.S.T. and Education +, a tutor in the College and Career Readiness Adult Basic Education lab, and adjunct faculty for Western Wyoming Community College.   As one of the strongest teachers in many of these programs, Carol’s favorite part of the job is knowing she makes a difference.  One of Carol’s many strengths includes her teaching ability.  Carol has had many students who come in with fourth grade reading level or lower, and most have successfully passed their high school equivalency.

Outside of teaching, you can find Carol with her husband, Bruce, and  dogs, Simba and RoJoe.  She enjoys hiking, gardening, and just being outside.  Carol is also a certified sailor, loves backpacking, and white water rafting.
