Wyoming High School Equivalency/(GED) Testing

The Uinta B.O.C.E.S. #1 Education Center was the first expansion site in the State of Wyoming to move to complete computer based testing for Uinta County residents and surrounding areas to receive their Wyoming High School Equivalency “certificate” through Pearson Vue, GEDTS, and the State of Wyoming.  What does this mean?  Uinta B.O.C.E.S. #1 Education Center no longer offers the paper pencil version.  Why try testing on the computer?  Studies have shown that:

  • People are finishing faster and scoring higher with the computer
  • The pass rate for adults taking the GED test on Computer is 88% compared with 71% for those who tested on paper.

Have you started testing, but haven’t completed yet?  Did you know that there will be new guidelines for testing as of Jan. 1, 2014 and any tests that you have taken previous to this date will no longer be valid?

The Uinta B.O.C.E.S. # 1 Education Center’s staff is dedicated to help you achieve your goal in receiving your Wyoming High School Equivalency “certificate”. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and wants you to succeed!  The Center has several different options available to you with:  live instruction, tutors, flexibility, and scholarships.  The clock is ticking! Please call the Center for more information in obtaining this valuable certificate before the December 31, 2013 deadline.
