My name is Joshua Krebs. I was a part of the fall 2009 BOOST class. I was Valedictorian of the class of ten students. Joining BOOST was the best decision I have made so far in my life. I joined BOOST because, due to extenuating circumstances, I was 2 years behind on graduating from traditional high school. My mom had been battling a drug addiction for a year in 2006 when she was arrested. During that year I spent most of my school days staying at home caring for my two younger sisters. BOOST not only helped me to attain my G.E.D., but also gave me valuable life skills. BOOST taught me how to build a functional resume, taught me to prepare healthy meals on my own, and really prepared me for life outside of school. I felt more prepared after four months in the BOOST program than I did after the three years I spent in traditional high school. In joining BOOST, I not only got help attaining my GED, but i had a support group of people ready and willing to do everything in their power to help me in any way they could. BOOST is a very rewarding program with alot of upside and zero downside.
