THE HISTORY THAT THE BIBLE INCLUDES
The events of the bible and the stories it includes describe many events that involve nations and leaders. From the table of nations in Genesis 10 to the kings of Assyria, Babylon, and Persia to the emperors of Rome, the bible tells the story of a nation whose identity was rooted in the acts of its God. This class will focus on the history that was included in the Bible as the events of the people were impacted.

CONVERSATIONAL SPANISH
The conversational Spanish class is designed as a non-credit class where the participants will learn basic Spanish phrases that include greetings, numbers, colors, telling time, days, months, food, family words, expressing likes/dislikes, describing yourself and discovering the many cultural practices, products and perspective of Hispanic culture. The class is a fast paced, fun, relevant, real-world learning way to become familiar with Spanish and Hispanic Culture.
Materials: Students’ will need to bring a 3-ring notebook and Spanish-English Dictionary

FREE LEGAL CLINIC
Law night is a FREE legal clinic that will provide Uinta County residents with brief, one-on-one, initial consultations on any civil (non-criminal) issue such as personal injury; landlord/tenant disputes; divorce or child custody and more. First come, first served basis. No appointment necessary.

YOU CAN DO IT! SPEAKING IN PUBLIC WITHOUT FEAR
Are you afraid of public speaking? Do you freeze up in social situations? These fears can be remedied when you enroll in this class on public speaking. Instructor Denice Wheeler has presented over 450 talks all over the United States and written 10 books. Her fear of speaking was over-come in a class such as this! Come join us for fun and information.

ESTATE PLANNING BASICS
Even if you're not Warren Buffet you should still have an estate plan in place. Estate planning is not just for the wealthy or the elderly. Planning can help provide peace of mind for you and your family. This course will cover simple planning techniques that you can do to pass both real and personal property at death without probate. This course will also discuss basic estate planning options, including information about healthcare directives (living wills), property ownership, wills, power of attorneys, and proper beneficiary designations.

BASICS OF BANKING SERIES

Banking is one of the most essential tools we use in our everyday lives. You may not realize how much a financial institution can help you with your day to day needs. In this series of classes we will introduce you to the variety of products banks have to offer. We will teach you what you need to know about your checking and savings account, what you will need to know about budgeting and credit, the Do’s and Don’ts of applying for a mortgage and finally the basic need to know of starting a small business.


Checking and Savings March 5 – What to look for when looking for a checking account, how to balance your check book, ways to save money when paying your bills and how to track your spending.

PERSONAL PROTECTION
This course will give you the basics on how to protect yourself from possible criminal activity. The course will go over what the process is when you report a crime. The questions you may be asked by law enforcement and the expectations of you as a victim while your case is pending, and services available to victims of crimes.

FRAUD PROTECTION
This course will give you an overview of how to protect yourself from being a victim of fraud. Instruction will be given on how to protect your accounts and what steps to take if you believe you were a victim of fraud. Examples of fraud we see locally as well as nationally. Fraud activity examples will be given as well.

BASIC HOME IMPROVEMENTS AND REPAIRS
Imagine the possibilities…You can do it yourself (DIY). You will learn how to use basic hand and power tools including how to read and use a measuring tape. Learn how to locate all your shutoffs in case of an emergency. Learn how to put together a basic home repair tool kit. Bring your questions about your home improvement challenges.
