Free Legal Clinic
Law night is a FREE legal clinic that will provide Uinta County residents with brief, one-on-one, initial consultations on any civil (non-criminal) issue such as personal injury; landlord/tenant disputes; divorce or child custody and more. First come, first served basis. No appointment necessary.

Job Skills Class
The first session of this two-session class will focus on job hunting skills, including looking for job opportunities; crafting résumés and cover letters; filling out job applications and choosing appropriate references; handling job interviews, including answering those tough questions; and ensuring that social media activity does not deter potential employers.

The second session of this two-session class will focus on job skills and knowledge for use on the job, including appropriate workplace attire, professionalism and ethics, understanding employer perspectives and needs, appropriate workplace behavior regarding smart phones and computers, communication patterns, and interactions with co-workers and supervisors.

Figurative Learning Techniques
This oil class will focus on figurative learning techniques. We will be working on painting a portion of the body learning and working with shadows. Please bring a 16x20 canvas and rags. Oil paints will be provided.

Basic Home Improvements and Repairs
Imagine the possibilities…You can do it yourself (DIY). You will learn how to use basic hand and power tools including how to read and use a measuring tape. Learn how to locate all your shutoffs in case of an emergency. Learn how to put together a basic home repair tool kit. Bring your questions about your home improvement challenges.

Creating a Spending Plan – Budgeting Basics
This course will help you learn how to create a monthly spending plan that works. Learn the basics of setting up a spending plan, how to track what you’re spending, and how to make adjustments to your plan when an emergency arises. You will be provided a workbook with sample budgeting worksheets and spending registers to help you track your monthly spending.

Get happy with your snaps in this upbeat 2 hour Photography 101 Class .We go over finding and using light, tricks and basics for getting better photos of children, basic posing, capturing those important moments, de-cluttering your pics, the basics of using your DSLR camera, and so many more fun things. You will leave with new ideas and better skills for using your camera.

This class will cover wills, probate and simple ways to avoid probate, the effects of and alternatives to listing children on a deed, basics of Medicaid, intestate succession, advanced health care directives and durable powers of attorney.

Credit Score Review – What Does Your Credit Report Say About You?
This course is designed for those who want to understand how to read their credit report and learn what to do to improve or maintain their credit score. You will be provided valuable education and tools that will help you make sure your credit report is reporting information accurately. Also covered in the class will be Information how to place a fraud alert on your report and how to freeze your credit report if you suspect you have been a victim of identity theft. Contact Family Financial at 307-789-2010 the day before the class to have your report pulled. Your credit report will be provided during class time.



Cost:$20 (includes booklet from the FTC on “Building a Better Credit Report” and a copy of your credit report from one of the three major credit bureaus that will be reviewed during the class)

This class will cover the use of trusts for such things as to avoid probate, to protect minors, to protect beneficiaries with special needs, to allow for more complex distributions, to effectuate charitable giving or to protect assets.  The course will also cover planning options for more complex situations such as blended families, owning real property in more than one state, or owning a business.
